Retaining, coaching and upskilling current employees is a challenge, but necessary to retain your best talent and develop managers into effective leaders. This is especially true for the construction industry which​ needs to attract over a half a million workers to fill shortages (ABC).

Making the problem worse, nearly ​​1 in 4 construction workers are over the age of 55. This means retirements will remain steady, if not increase (ABC). On top of that, less than 20% of Gen Z said they would even entertain a job in construction.

Construction companies need to understand why employees stay at their companies and make the necessary changes.
