Last week, our Customer Success Team led another Lunch and Learn for the managers in our user community. In Navigate Coaching Conversations with Data, our audience considered how they can leverage their Truvelop data to have meaningful, strategic conversations around employee development. Managers have access to so much information right at their fingertips in Truvelop, so it’s important to know how they can best digest that information to drive engagement and trust with their direct reports.
Truvelop managers will typically begin a development strategy by first reviewing current performance data in Summary Reporting from the Team Member dashboard. There are 3 different sections that are auto-populated based on how the manager answers Truvelop’s proprietary assessment. This ensures that both the manager and employee know where the employee stands today and what their recommended actionable next steps will be. It takes the guesswork out and creates an objective starting point for a meaningful discussion.
While the data is a great place to start a coaching conversation, the important part is using that data to drive actionable next steps. It’s not enough to just collect the data – it’s what you do with it that matters. In your next check-in, try leveraging these three questions to take what you’ve learned and apply it to your action plan.
