That’s why for this month’s Truvelop Tip, we want to focus on how you can advocate for your development journey and tap into your full potential.

Most employees want to know where they stand, regardless of whether the feedback will be positive or constructive. Advocate for your development by regularly seeking out feedback and coming prepared to check-ins with your own agenda. Be an active participant in your development journey!

  • Request: You can request Sparks from your manager. Stay up to date around what’s going well and what you can do to improve by requesting feedback from your manager. Ask for feedback about something specific to receive meaningful guidance.  
  • Knowledge Center: After each Evaluation, visit the Knowledge Center to better understand what your Evaluation summary means and how you can use it to drive an action-oriented check-in. Check out What’s Next for… to gain conversation starters, reflection questions, and discussion objectives.
  • IDP: Share your individual development plan with your manager so that they know what you’re working towards. By staying on the same page about what you want to get out of your work experience, you can ensure that you’re receiving feedback that is relevant to your goals.
