It’s hard to believe that it’s already almost the end of 2023! As we approach the end of the year, it’s time to take a moment to reflect. Reflection, when done meaningfully, is a great practice for boosting engagement and driving efficient development. Ready to get started?
Everyone likes to feel seen and valued and that their work is making a difference. As you reflect on all that you have achieved in 2023, consider what you’ve learned along the way:
- What were you most proud of from this past year? Did you overcome any major obstacles?
- Who had the greatest positive impact on your experience?
- What would you have done differently this past year?
- What do you want to learn in 2024?
Once you’ve identified your learning takeaways, it’s time to commit to your development plan. Identify what you want to learn and develop in 2024 and share that with your manager. Set a goal in a way that best suits your needs. You could set a SMART goal, an OKR, or use WOOP.
Goal-setting is a great way to outline your next steps and stay focused as you work towards your goals. Be sure to share your goals with your Manager using Spark.
