In August, we saw a theme of transparent communication across our content. Communicating openly, honestly, and respectfully helps to strengthen relationships, increase engagement, and increase employee satisfaction and trust in their organization. It is important that we avoid sugar coating and instead share accurate observations. Organizations, Managers, and Team Members can practice transparent communication through regular, objective touchpoints. By staying transparent, we can create efficient positive change.

According to data from EdAssist, 60% of respondents said they’d choose a job with strong professional development opportunities over one with regular pay raises, and 53% reported that having access to learning or professional development opportunities would entice them to stay longer than planned at any given job.
An Individual Development Plan is a great way to provide direction and purpose, which can help employees stay motivated and engaged.
According to DailyPay, “The turnover rate in the health care industry has risen nearly 5% — across all jobs in the industry — over the last decade….since 2015, the average hospital turned over 89% of its workforce. Market analysts say that health care’s turnover is second worst, only to hospitality.”
Turnover impacts quality care and customer service, but also results in high costs for healthcare organizations. It is important that we understand how to retain our team.
We are excited to welcome PARTS iD to our growing customer base! Maggie Elrashedy, HR Manager, explains why Truvelop is such an important part of their employee development strategy:
“Prior to selecting Truvelop, we demoed many other performance review solutions. Besides the fact that Truvelop was the only one stop shop for all our needs, we chose Truvelop because Lisa and her team felt like an extension of our team. They have an easy-to-use product and their support is unmatched in the industry.”
In order to build trust, we must start with Transparent Communication. We can be honest and stay positive in our feedback. We can back up our words with our actions. With Truvelop, we want to give you the tools to be transparent and communicate effectively and efficiently.
The pandemic has changed expectations for the role HR plays in supporting employees. According to a study from Paychex, 60% of employees believe HR’s focus should be ensuring employees have everything they need to work from home with nearly 50% want to see more focus on employee work-life balance.

EHE Health, a preventive healthcare company based in New York City, has been at the forefront of the COVID-19 pandemic. As more companies adopt DEI initiatives that go beyond improved hiring and advancement practices, leaders need to consider authenticity of the roll-out and implementation, and how these initiatives will be embraced across all teams.
Customer Success Team Member Juliana Withers hosted August’s Truvelop User Community Lunch and Learn about The Importance of Transparent Communication. Collaborating with Truvelop customer DP Solutions’ President, Karyn Schell, the women explored the benefits of adopting a transparent culture, what that can look like in action, and how DP Solutions leverages Truvelop to drive transparent conversations surrounding talent development. We heard a lot of amazing ideas and perspectives from our user community, making this Lunch and Learn one of our best ones yet.
The Truvelop app is designed to improve performance management, increasing engagement with employees for a more relational approach. Managers no longer have to dig through old files to find last year’s performance review, and with the Truvelop dashboard, managers can see how their team is performing as a whole to identify gaps and opportunities.
If nothing else, the COVID-19 pandemic has forced companies to get creative and become more agile, recognizing that this virus will not disappear quickly, and everyone will have to adapt in order to keep employees and customers safe. While some companies had begun accelerating a return to the office, many are rethinking this approach. Employees are worried about returning to work with those who are unvaccinated.
Coming into September, we’re shifting the focus to Holistic Support. It is important that we consider all aspects of our Team Members, not just what we see of them in the day-to-day workplace. Instead, finding out what makes our Team Members tick, understanding their purpose and the meaning behind their work, will help Managers to best support their team.
As always, we would love to hear your ideas and feedback! Please reach out to us at email@example.com to share.
